该教材是根据美国“共同核心州CCSS标准”最新的教学大纲所编写的，与美国同步的小学课程教材，包括：Language Arts（语言艺术）、Math（数学）、Science（科学）三大内容，分别着重于提高学生的英语文学的阅读能力、数学技能的应用能力以及科学领域的研究能力。
伟思东方在线国际小学的课程体系分为6个阶段，分别是G1-G6（1-6年级）每阶段为期一年，一年的学术学习时长共40周，包括：

1）美国小学语文课程
美国小学语文课程分为“主题阅读”和“拓展阅读”，由丰富的阅读选材、有趣的获奖文学作品、精美的美工设计建构而成。一年级语文课增加了阅读的文章数量，使学生们有机会获取更多的故事内容以及相关学科知识。
该课程的两大核心部分分别为：语文精读（Reading/Writing Workshop）和文学精萃
(Literature Anthology)。精读课本在保留原有的自然拼读、词汇练习的基础上，增加了语法、主题写作以及阅读理解与技巧讲解的部分；文学精萃课本则为原汁原味美国文学作品的合集，包括了诗歌、短篇小说、说明文等众多获奖题材。
2）美国小学数学课程
伟思东方的美国小学数学课程根据美国教学大纲编写，着重培养学生的实用能力与解决问题的方法。该课程并不侧重题海战术和对于公式的死记硬背，而是更着重数学基本技能与应用能力的提升，强调对数学内容和概念的深度理解，重视对学生数学兴趣的培养。
3）美国小学科学课程
伟思东方的美国小学科学课程包括：生命科学、地质科学、物理科学、生物科学、环境科学、化学及科学的方法七大主题。伟思东方?的外教老师们将通过线上课堂，用英语讲授科学，帮助学生培养成为科学家所需的9种技能，即观察、预言、交流、测量、排序、比较、分类、数据记录和得出结论，为学生未来的研究型教育（硕士、博士）提供良好的研究方法。
该课程内容由浅入深，循序渐进，学生完成1年级到6年级的全套课程后，能直接达到美国教育部要求的美国中学生的阅读水准，与美国高考SAT以及托福考试的阅读难度及水准一致。因而，与外教学好此教材就能为学生打下坚实的英语基础。
